Blue Sky Moments: 2026-2027 Program Registration Now Open
At Blue Sky Acres, we believe that healing often begins with something as simple as being seen, heard, and loved. Through our Blue Sky Moments program, we have the privilege of walking alongside individuals who have experienced crisis or trauma, reminding them that they are never alone and that hope can be found in Christ.
Blue Sky Moments is a Christ-centered, one-on-one equine mentorship program for individuals ages 10 and older. Each participant is thoughtfully paired with a trained volunteer Mentor who meets with them for a weekly 60-minute session over the course of 12 weeks. Together, they can build a meaningful relationship while learning horsemanship skills and participating in activities designed to strengthen communication, healthy boundaries, leadership, and other resiliency skills. Because every participant's story is different, each session is tailored to meet individual needs while pointing them toward the unchanging hope, healing, and trust found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We also offer a Blue Sky Moments group program designed specifically for participants with disabilities. These sessions provide opportunities to build friendships with peers while connecting with a team of caring Mentors and Group Buddies. Through hands-on interactions with our horses, games, and Bible-based lessons, participants experience the joy of learning, growing, and discovering God's love together.
Open enrollment for our 2026–2027 Blue Sky Moments program began on July 10, and scheduling for the upcoming year is now underway. Our Fall Semester runs from September through November, with weekly one-hour sessions offered completely free of charge. Because each participant is matched with a volunteer Mentor, enrollment is limited by Mentor availability. Their partnership allows us to offer these life-changing sessions at no cost to the families we serve, making it possible for participants to experience encouragement, connection, and the life-giving hope found only in Christ.
