At Blue Sky Acres we seek to help individuals reach goals they never thought possible

What we offer:

Confidence, trust, encouragement, hope, peace, a place to belong, and so much more… all through relationships. Our trained staff and volunteers seek to help our participants recognize the gifts and abilities that God has placed within them and call those things out so they can become all He has created them to be.

Blue Sky Moments

Horses can play a huge part in the healing process after trauma. Our program for children, teens and adults that have experienced trauma as well as those with disabilities is the first of its kind in our area. We pair each participant with a trained volunteer mentor and a horse. This allows them to build resilience through a committed relationship in order to move beyond the trauma they faced early in life.

Weekly sessions focus on building trust, understanding self-worth and who they are in Christ. Activities with the horse and one-on-one attention help develop responsibility, independence and personal growth.

Sessions are one hour each week and are completely on the ground, no riding is involved.

*Parents/caregivers are required to stay on the property.

Mentored Employment

We provide on-site employment and volunteer opportunities for individuals with special needs after high school graduation in order to help them build job skills and confidently enter the workforce. Each employee is paired with a job mentor that provides them with one-on-one support and supervision while promoting independence.

Field Trips at Blue Sky Acres

At Blue Sky Acres, we believe meaningful experiences happen when people connect—with nature, with animals, and with one another. Our field trips are designed to create a safe, welcoming environment where every guest feels seen, valued, and included.

We love hosting a wide variety of groups, including Special Education classes, homeschool families, and specialty communities such as Type 1 Diabetes support groups, local moms groups, and more. Each visit is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of your group.

During your time at the farm, participants can enjoy hands-on, sensory-rich experiences like meeting and interacting with our horses, engaging in farm activities, a scavenger hunt and even a simple craft to take home. Our team prioritizes patience, flexibility, and individualized support—making Blue Sky Acres an ideal setting for those who benefit from a more adaptive and relational approach.

Whether your group is looking for an educational outing, a therapeutic environment, or simply a place to experience joy and connection, we would be honored to host you.
